Description

Deliver sleep education as a key part of the health and wellbeing

Who can apply?

Sound Sleep is designed for teachers and support staff to deliver sleep education as a key component of the health and wellbeing curriculum.

Sound Sleep is an additional qualification that gives educators the skills and the tools to maximise pupils' potential and promote a happier, healthier school experience through sleep education.

Sound Sleep is suitable for primary and secondary-level education.

This training is appropriate where improved student behaviour, focus, attendance, extracurricular engagement, and academic success have been identified as key areas of improvement.

Expert-led training

Our experienced lecturers have been delivering Sound Sleep training for over a decade. They welcome questions, discussion, and interaction throughout the course to shape the programme to suit your school and the pupils you support.

You’re the expert in your classroom. Sound Sleep training equips delegates to deliver sleep education and guidance with confidence. But the real expertise for engaging your pupils comes from you.

Our lecturers will share helpful ideas and “hooks” to engage children and young people in conversations about sleep in a way that feels relevant and accessible.

We are proud of the impact our training makes:

  • 100% of participants report being satisfied with the training
  • 94% say their knowledge and understanding of sleep has improved
  • 91% feel more confident supporting families with sleep

Training materials

The programme includes a curriculum-based teaching resource pack with tools to put sleep education into practice at the primary or secondary school level. It includes everything necessary to deliver engaging, ready-to-use lessons, eliminating the need to spend hours planning or creating content from scratch.

It will enable you to teach your pupils about the importance of sleep for their health and wellbeing and to deliver sleep awareness sessions for other staff and parents.

Course fees

Our comprehensive, expert-led training programs are fee-based. The cost listed above covers the training for one attendee and one teaching resource pack for either primary school or secondary school. If you wish to purchase the additional resources, you may do so for an additional £100.

Typically, training is employer-funded as schools recognise the value of improved student sleep.

Government funding opportunities that seek to reduce the attainment gap between disadvantaged children and their peers may be available to help bring Sound Sleep to your school. Read our funding guide.
