Description
Become a Sleep Counsellor for Adults
Who can apply
Sleep Counselling training is designed for experienced health and social care professionals supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs. Whatever your role, if you work directly with adults and their families where sleep is a concern, this training will enhance the care you provide.
Becoming a Sleep Counsellor is an additional qualification that complements your existing role, giving you the tools to support others more effectively through better sleep. Our training enhances the care you provide while complementing your current practice because better sleep means better health outcomes and a higher quality of life for your service users.
Expert-led training
Our training is grounded in the latest research, built on evidence-based practice, and tried and tested for over 27 years.
Our lecturers represent some of the UK's leading sleep experts, with backgrounds in research and real-world practice. They understand the science of sleep and the realities of day-to-day person-centred care. Most importantly, they recognise that you know your service users best. Their role is to equip you with practical, evidence-based skills and knowledge so you can work effectively to improve wellbeing through better sleep.
We are proud of the impact our training makes:
- 100% of participants report being satisfied with the training
- 94% say their knowledge and understanding of sleep has improved
- 91% feel more confident supporting families with sleep
Training materials
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive access to Sleep Action resources and materials to support your work as a Sleep Counsellor. These include sleep plans, questionnaires, and group presentation resources. Materials can be accessed through the members’ area of our website.
Course fees
Our comprehensive, expert-led training programs are fee-based. The cost listed above covers the full training package, including self-led learning, all interactive sessions, and any assessment or qualification fees for one attendee.
